Hey You
Hey You, time to wake up!
Time to pour the Morning in your coffee cup
Hey you, open up your eyes
Not a single cloud in the blue blue skies
This place is in shambles, there's problems now
We all got ourselves in some kinda trouble somehow
There's so much anger, hearts broken in Pain
Sometimes we just need someone to remind us again.
Hey you, time to get outa bed
Do something nice for someone else today instead
Hey you, you know what to do
Maybe you just don't realize that Power in you
Oh, I'm countin' on you
Ya gonna make things right
Oh, I believe in you
Gonna bring a little Sunshine into the Night.
Some days we're happy, sometimes we're scared
Some things in Life we can't be too prepared
So souls get shattered and try as they might
We all need You to be our Guiding Light!
Hey you, O Beautiful You
I'm always here to tell your problems to
So, hey you, time to start anew
Time to wake up the World!
Road Song
Unknown highway trusted friend
Thru every freeway & byway to my journey’s end
I walk alone i walk in circles
I walk thru a wall of my own battles
But there’s a road i’ve traveled thru my memories
And there’s a road i’ve weathered on my knees
There’s a road behind of a world i knew
But there’s a road ahead leads me home to you.
I get so tired out of my mind
For every step i take forward i take two behind
If there’s a train please put me on
Anything to rest my weary legs & keep me warm
Cause there’s a road i’ve ventured thru dark & dust
It's a road grown tattered i learned to trust
There’s a road above leads to a road below
But there’s a road ahead leads me home to you
Release these chains
Set me free to lose my mind and lose my way
Just let me know how far do I need to go
Unknown highway
Trusted friend
Thru every freeway & byway to my journey’s end
We stand alone we stand untethered
We stand on the edge of a new life together
Cause there’s a road where those long nights were rough
It’s a road i’ve traveled long enough
There’s a road that stretches out of view
But there’s a road ahead leads me home to you
There’s a road ahead leads me home to you.
Dirty Little Habits
Before I saw your face i was so cool
Was a straight A student in the finest school
Then you laid eyes on me and I began to change you see
I developed these dirty little habits since i met you
I was so well adjusted just days before
Until the day that you walked thru my door
I felt my face hit the ground, then you turned my life around
I developed these dirty little habits since i met you
I'm out most every night
The other day i started a fight
The slightest thing gets me upset
I started smoking cigarettes all these dirty little habits since i met you
I kick the cat most every day
I guess I threw my job away
I haven't washed
I haven't shaved
I drank up all the cash I saved with these dirty little habits since i met you
I thought it was abumpy road that i once tread
But that ain't nothin' compared with the road ahead.
Perfect Match
I gotta tell you bout my baby, the way she always drives me crazy
It's hard to know (sometimes) if she's tame or wild
But when she smiles and holds me tight she's my angel child
Sometimes when we are together she changes faster than the weather
And that lady's smile turns into a girly pout
But the times when she's a lady, man, she knocks me out
We take walks on a country day or slip into a downtown café
Drinking Chateau Ste Michelle till the morning light
And when we're making love, I swear the angels above
Sing songs of Heaven all thru the night
I want this love affair to start before it starts to fall apart
Before that cat thinks my heart's her catch
Still there are days when this cat and dog are the perfect match.
She's got more huevos than the average female
She could teach an Eskimo about the cold
I wait for days just to get her email
I never would have these problems if she'd just do what she was told.
